When was the last time you said, “I just don’t feel good. I feel like I’m coming down with something.”
That, my friends, is the immune system telling you it needs a little support. Besides the traditional “rest and drink lots of water” recommendations, what else can support your body before it goes all out into chills, fatigue, colds, coughs, infections, pneumonia, sore throats, cold sores, and so much more?
In my home I have found On Guard™ a particular blend of essential oils, to be incredibly helpful. This blend is made up of 5 unique essential oils because of their unique benefits to the immune system.
Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.” ― Brené Brown
In honor of the heart.

I was having a conversation with a dear ex-boyfriend of mine and he pointed out that sometimes I sit on the shore in a place of worry, feelings of not being good enough, and doubts, instead of swimming in the sea of everything I am and desire. Well, it got me thinking (the visual was very helpful), and I decided I want to swim in the sea of everything I want to bring in to my life including prosperity, abundance, success, love, passion-YES, I want to bathe in it! All of the sudden I was picturing basking in the sea in the feelings of all of these things that I am calling in and it really lit me up!

2014 marks my 20th year of teaching yoga. This journey has taken me far and wide around the globe and in and near to the center of my heart fire. I’ve witnessed so many changes in the yoga culture over 25 years of practice. It’s astonishing to me how the power of yoga is reaching out into the masses and calling for real action in the global community.
When I first gave up medical school for a gypsy path of traveling around the world to study yoga, my Kentucky family thought I had joined a cult and was making a ridiculous life choice. Now I return to Kentucky, and even the smallest towns have a yoga center in their hub. I remember searching for yoga teachers in the yellow pages and going to health food stores to look at the community bulletin boards in hopes of finding the local yoga teachers. I went back and forth to India seeking masters of consciousness and other pilgrims on the path of yoga. I never could have imagined the epic quantum leap that yoga would make in the west over the next two decades.
